There are three 5th Grade classes at St. Margaret MaryEach class may contain up to 28 students. 

  • The reading curriculum expands basic reading into higher levels. 

  • The math curriculum continues to develop skills in complex arithmetic, word problems, fractions, decimals, geometry, and measurement.

  • Students eat lunch in the main cafeteria, and have one main recess after lunch.

  • Students attend all school masses and - about once a month - mass in the St. Margaret Mary Chapel.

  • Students participate in all exploratory classes: computer, library, PE, prayer music, and Spanish. These are graded Satisfactory (S) / Needs Improvement (N) all year.

  • Students receive letter grades in all subjects.

  • Conduct is graded on a scale of E (Excellent), S (Satisfactory), N (Needs Improvement), U (Unsatisfactory).

  • Students take the Stanford Achievement Tests (SAT) in April.
