There are three 4th Grade classes at St. Margaret MaryEach class may contain up to 28 students. 

  • The reading curriculum expands basic reading into higher levels. 

  • The religion curriculum emphasizes learning more about sacraments, the liturgical years, the marks of the church, and how to incorporate Jesus into our daily lives.

  • The math curriculum expands to more complex arithmetic, word problems, fractions, decimals, geometry, and measurement.

  • Students eat lunch at the main cafeteria with the 5th grade, and have one outside recess after lunch. 

  • Students attend school masses and - about once a month - mass in the St. Margaret Mary chapel. 

  • Students participate in all exploratory classes: computer, library, PE, prayer music, and Spanish.   These are graded Satisfactory (S) / Needs improvement (N) all year.

  • Students receive letter grades in all subjects. 

  • Conduct is graded on a scale of E (Excellent), S (Satisfactory), N (Needs improvement), U (Unsatisfactory).

  • Students take the Stanford Achievement Tests (SAT) in April.
