Mrs. Kathy Berault graduated from Southeastern Louisiana
University with a BA in Elementary Education and completed graduate work at UNO and SLU in Special
Education. She previously taught 2nd grade in the Jefferson Parish School
System and has been
teaching this same grade for the past 22 years at SMM.
She says, "Teaching 2nd graders at SMM has been quite a blessing and an adventure.
Their young minds are so ready to learn and their personalities are quite loving and accepting.
Sharing my faith during Religion Class and working with them as they prepare to receive the
sacraments of Reconciliation and the Eucharist
is a bonus that makes being a Catholic School educator extremely rewarding."
