Alina Echenique

I grew up in Miami, Florida and attended Academy of the Assumption High School. From there, I got my Associate of Arts Degree at Miami-Dade Community College majoring in General Education. I moved to Gainesville, Florida where I attended The University of Florida for one year (continuing education). Finally, I moved back to Miami, Florida where I attended Florida International University and graduated with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Early Childhood Education.

I have taught for eight years prior to teaching here at St. Margaret Mary School. My first teaching experience was in Miami, then I taught in San Juan, Puerto Rico for four years. Then we moved to Louisiana, where I taught Kindergarten at St. Lawrence the Martyr School.

After raising my two children, I knew I wanted to return to teaching and was given the opportunity to teach Spanish here at SMM.
